Follow a Healthy Eating Plan!
As I always say, a well fed parrot is a happy Parrot.
Breakfast: Cereal and warm water
Toast and peanut butter, grapes and apples
Rusk and rooibos tea
Lunch : Fruit and veg salad
Monday Add hard boiled egg
Tuesday Add pasta
Wednesday Add rice
Thursday Add fish
Friday Add chicken
A little seed at 5 with nuts added, popcorn, and other favourites.
A celery stick or spinach leaf can be offered now too. Celery and spinach are so GOOD for your parrot!
Remember when cutting up fruit and veg to cut it to the right size for your bird. Budgies and love birds will need their fruit grated.
REMEMBER A SEED ONLY DIET IS DANGEROUS.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS ROAST MONKEY NUTS BEFORE OFFERING THEM.
REMEMBER TO CHECK WATER REGULARLY, CHANGE IT IF IT GETS DIRTY.
Add flowers to food to make it interesting. Roses, carnations and hibiscus are good colourful flowers to add. Offer as many different fruits and vegetables as you can.

It is never too late to change a diet, it might take a while but keep at it. Food should be fun! REMEMBER also to cook and bake for your birds.
